The Rid-All Green Partnership, based in Cleveland, Ohio, is a remarkable organization committed to transforming communities through urban agriculture. It was established by three childhood friends who grew up in the Lee-Miles neighborhood of Cleveland. Their three-acre urban farm, located on Cleveland’s southeast side, is dedicated to “growing food, jobs, and green neighborhoods”. Rid-All operates a community kitchen, providing nutritious meals and fostering community connections. They turn food waste into “Black Gold,” a rich and nutritious soil ideal for urban gardens. Rid-All also offers opportunities for individuals and groups to engage in urban agriculture and learn about growing food. Their aquaponics and hydroponics business creates funds that benefit the community. Their commitment to sustainable practices positively impacts the environment, and their commitment to the community boosts everyone. Rid-All received the Global Ties U.S. Citizen Diplomat Award for their outstanding achievements in furthering international understanding and global engagement. As a volunteer, you will be asked to help out with the mission.
