Humble Design was started when Treger Strasburg met a family that had just bought a house after being homeless. They could afford the house, but none of the interior design pieces that make a house a home. With this in mind, Humble Design custom designs and furnishes home interiors for individuals, families, and veterans who are just coming out of homelessness. They take donated furniture and use it to transform homes. Humble Design is now in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, San Diego, and Seattle. At the Cleveland location volunteers can work as Home deco volunteers where you will take donated furniture and transform the inside of a house alongside a team of staff and other volunteers. Another way to volunteer is by helping to organize, sort, repair, and refurbish donated items as well as creating new artwork in a warehouse so they can be put into homes.
